That Peter Kay Thing is a series of six spoof documentaries shown on Channel 4 in January 1999. Set in and around Bolton, these follows the lives of different characters and stars Peter Kay as the subject of each documentary. All of the episodes display Kay's penchant for nostalgic humour and unsympathetic lead characters. The series was narrated by Andrew Sachs. Many of the plot lines were based around actual events from Kay's life. At least six of the characters appear in the spin-off series Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights.

テレビドラマ「ザ・クイズショウ」「深夜食堂」などの映像作家・及川拓郎が監督・脚本を務める『シャッフル』が、金子ノブアキ、賀来賢人、鎌苅健太、ムロツヨシ、市川亀治郎らの出演によって制作されることになった。 日給200万円のモニター調査に集められたオカルト系のフリーライター、お調子ものの関西人、空気の読めない飲食店経営者、そして一週間前から記憶喪失だという男の4人。担当者を名乗る男が現れ、モニター調査は開始された、というのは表向きのシナリオ。実はこの5人、先頃発生した銀行強盗の一味だったのだ。強奪した金のありかを唯一知る男が記憶喪失になってしまったため、彼の記憶を呼び戻す最後の手段として計画されたのが、このプロジェクト“シャッフル”だったのだ。ところが正体不明の謎の人物が登場し、事態は思わぬ方向へと激しく動き出す。 出演者の金子ノブアキは撮影を振り返り、「スケジュール的にもかなりタイトだったというのも大きいと思いますが、とにかく全体の集中力がすさまじかった。追い込まれた時に出る、逆転ホームランのような馬鹿力が充満していると思う」と、他の作品では味わえない撮影現場の雰囲気を味わったようだ。本作について、「出会えたことがとにかく光栄であり、すごく大切な作品。大切すぎて誰にも見せたくないほどです」と、熱い思い語っている。 何が本当で、何が嘘なのか、二転、三転し、先の見えないストーリー展開が見る者の脳も心もシャッフルする、予測不能の脳内活性エンタテインメントの本作は10月より公開だ。

Peter Bergmann has celebrated his bachelor party with his good friend William Thorsen. Peter is to marry William's former girlfriend Kirsten on the same day. When they return to Peter's home in the morning, they find a letter from the French hospital "The Little Blue Nuns," asking Peter to come in with his baptismal certificate and have a blood test done. Peter tells William that he had a love affair in Paris while on a business trip for his father's company, but Tony rejected him when he proposed marriage.
